Newark FOP Honor Guard

The Honor Guard consists of ten officers from the lodge that have volunteered their efforts to establishing a higher standard of professionalism. It was created to give the lodge a formal ceremonial unit to attend police funerals and other occasions requiring a special police presence. The Honor Guard represents the Newark Fraternal Order of Police and the Newark Police Department at funeral services, annual parades, and other community functions.

The Honor Guard trains once every month in such areas as marching, drilling, colors movement, and funeral protocol.
